Godward Thoughts
"Remember that it is not hasty reading, but serious meditation on holy and heavenly truths, that makes them prove sweet and profitable to the soul. It is not the mere touching of the flower by the bee that gathers honey, but her abiding for a time on the flower that draws out the sweet. It is not he that reads most, but he that meditates most, that will prove to be the choicest, sweetest, wisest and strongest Christian." (Thomas Brooks)

Hi Doug,
Another wonderful video clip. Many powerful and necessary points were raised by you. I must say that it is hard for me to hear you speak on our "unworthiness" to have received what we have received in Christ Jesus. We certainly cannot earn what He gave or by our works make ourselves justified to receive it, but it is my belief in the All Givingness of our Heavenly Father that by that nature of that All Giving that is the essence of what God is, for God is All, that it could not be otherwise that a way would have been found to connect with us and to bring us home.
To me, that is the essence of the Parable of the Prodigal Son, in that it is death to be apart from God and life to return to our Father's House or to dwell again in the Divine Presence and in this Parable, we learn that when we come to ourselves and seek to return home, even to just be servants, our Heavenly Father runs to meet us and reinstate our sonship and the life we have now regained in our return Home.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Yours in the Love of Christ,
John
