What is the Gospel?
I posted a link to this video on Godtube a while back, but I just posted it on youtube.
"Remember that it is not hasty reading, but serious meditation on holy and heavenly truths, that makes them prove sweet and profitable to the soul. It is not the mere touching of the flower by the bee that gathers honey, but her abiding for a time on the flower that draws out the sweet. It is not he that reads most, but he that meditates most, that will prove to be the choicest, sweetest, wisest and strongest Christian." (Thomas Brooks)

Okay, my first thought was: "that dude is preaching in his garage?"
Then I began to listen to the truth and appreciated it on a deeper level. After realizing that this was most likely the blog's author practicing a sermon in the garage in order to avoid waking the kids. Well, it makes more sense.
Now onto the watch illustration...
I think I have got the watch for you. Check out: http://www.richardmille.com/
or

I think purchasing one of these will most strongly make your point.
Then again...
Materialism could possibly be an area that the Lord is addressing in my life. Oh, and the real meaning of the illustration wasn't totally lost on this goof.
Hey we all have to start somewhere. I'm just starting in my garage :-) I figure there can be garage bands who like to play but aren't really good enough for the big time, and I think there can be garage preachers too.
Of course one of those watches would fit the illustration quite nicely. You just let me know who is giving richard mille watch scholarships to garage preachers and I'll be all over it.
Doug :-)
PS. And yes, the kids slept through the whole thing.
