Distress

My soul at times will not be still,
And tremblings with, my heart doth fill
Yet perfect bliss was not His pledge
Nor paradise within His hedge.
But every trial will be endured.
The victory has been secured
And death itself’s a vanquished foe
By Resurrection’s mighty blow

The first word that came to my mind when I read this poem is "powerful". You've got amazing talent with words...and I'm so glad you're using it to praise our Living God.

God Bless.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. It is always appreciated.

Kendall,

To answer your question, I've written a few other short ones, I tend to write them and tack them on at the end of devotions I've been writing. Most of them never see the light of day, and it's a good thing too :-)

God Bless,

Doug
